Friends for Life
Tonight we’re hosting another lasagna dinner for about 10 hungry college students. There will be big appetites, loud laughter, and plenty of dirty dishes. And I couldn’t be happier.
This group of guys still call themselves “The Knights of Naugle” — a title bestowed upon them by their RA (resident assistant) when they were all first year students finding their way on campus. The camaraderie built through their shared experiences is positive and strong. They are young men who will find ways to change their world. And my husband and I are thrilled that our son has maintained these friendships into his second year at Messiah College.
We started dinners at our home a year ago, and I’m always ready to hear Andy call and say, “Mom, the guys are asking for your lasagna again!” Any friends of our sons are friends of ours.
